The Environmental Professionals Network’s (EPN) 2019 Signature Event, set for April 8, will focus on “Women in Conservation.” The event will highlight “the role that female conservationists have played in leading humanity’s protection and improvement of natural resources,” its website says.
Conservation on climate change, more
Featured during the event will be a conversation with Frances Beinecke, a former president of the Natural Resources Defense Council and a winner of the 2007 Rachel Carson Award; and Michelle DePass, CEO, Meyer Memorial Trust, and a former senior official with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, about climate change, environmental justice, and the role of women in environmental conservation. Heather Taylor-Miesle, executive director of the Ohio Environmental Council, will serve as the facilitator. There will be other guests, too, and poster presentations by Ohio State students.
