The University of Michigan’s Jennifer Blesh presents “Agroecosystems Management and Nitrogen Balance on Grain Farms in the Midwest” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. tomorrow on Ohio State’s Columbus campus and by video link to CFAES’s research arm, OARDC, in Wooster. She’ll look at farming practices that can reduce nitrogen runoff in the Mississippi River watershed. As it is, that runoff ends up in the Gulf of Mexico, where it causes the gulf’s “dead zone.” Details.
