Summer 2017

This summer I took the final required course for my master’s in public administration, PUBAFF 6050, Managing Public Sector Organizations. The only course I will need to take after this is the capstone research paper.

In addition, I put in a lot of time on environmental advocacy, including chairing Conservation Committee for Sierra Club Central Ohio Group and chairing Political Committee for Sierra Club Ohio Chapter. As part of this I took the lead on laying the foundation for the Ready for 100 campaign, for which we plan to ask the city of Columbus to commit to 100% renewable energy in the electricity sector by 2035 and the entire city by 2050.  This entailed attending a training with Ready for 100 volunteers across the county in June and a team training on running campaigns in July, both sponsored by the Sierra Club. Finally, I attended the People’s Summit meeting of progressive leaders in Chicago in June.
