They conduct various tests, from routine blood screenings to advanced diagnostics for cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. These professionals evaluate and validate laboratory data across five key areas: chemistry, immunology, hematology, transfusion medicine, and microbiology. This data informs over 70% of medical decisions regarding patient care.
