See what’s new in biobased industry

CFAES’s Department of Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering is holding an Advanced Biobased Systems Workshop on April 13 on Ohio State’s Columbus campus.

8 sessions by experts

Called “Pipeline to Commercialization,” the event will have eight sessions on three main themes — feedstock production, application development, and scale-up and commercialization. The speakers will be experts from CFAES and industry.

Rubber, soy, big data, more

The sessions will cover, for example, using big data for feedstock logistics, managing perennial grasses for energy production, developing natural rubber alternatives, developing soy-based bioproducts, and case studies on optimizing fermentation in fuel and beverage distilleries and developing a soy-based emulsion for extending the life of roof shingles.

How to register

Registration, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and a networking event after the workshop, is $60 by April 4 and $75 after April 4. Student registration is $30 by April 4.
