Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers picking up trash along the bank of the Olentangy River.

Interested in becoming regularly involved at the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park?

As our outreach programming, research monitoring, and restoration efforts increase, we will begin to cultivate a family of ORWRP volunteers. Whether you’re interested in assisting with data collection or entry, designing flyers and communication materials, removing invasive species, or helping run our events, we would love to work with you!

Please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form (COMING SOON) to tell us a bit about yourself with an emphasis on your applicable skills and interests. Once you submit this form, our outreach coordinator will follow up with additional questions (if needed) and add you to our volunteer email list. You will then receive regular communication regarding volunteer opportunities available at the park and how to sign up for an event or participate in a project.

You do not need to be signed up for our Volunteer Program to participate in any of our events! Please only complete the form above if you are interested in continual involvement with the ORWRP.

Note: We are currently NOT accepting applicants under the age of 18, but children/youth are welcome to attend volunteer events with their parent or guardian when appropriate. All volunteers will be expected to sign a liability waiver (i.e., youth AND adults), sign a letter recognizing that they will follow OSU’s code of conduct for volunteers, and will read all training materials before participating in a volunteer event.
