Field Trip Requests for University Groups/Classes
We LOVE when faculty and instructors request to bring their courses to the ORWRP! The site is a great place to explore the arts, sciences, engineering, and more.
To submit a field trip request for a single-session university course, please complete this survey.
Additional Information
All college courses must submit a field trip request regardless of whether they will need ORWRP staff support during their visit. Your request will be evaluated to ensure there will be no conflicts with research, teaching, or outreach activities and to ensure we can accommodate additional cars in our lot. Requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. We request that instructors submit field trip requests prior to creating their course syllabus (i.e., prior to the start of the semester) to ensure that we can accommodate your course on a given date. If you are unable to meet this deadline, we ask field trip requests be submitted at least 30 days prior to your requested date.
Field trips/visits are not confirmed until you receive email notification that your request has been approved.
Note: Failure to follow these guidelines will result in removal from the property. Subsequent violations may result in field trip privileges being revoked.
Options for college-level courses:
- Host a lecture/lab session on site.
- There is no cost associated with hosting a session on site. If you would like to complete a wetland-related activity or would like to request assistance from ORWRP staff, please note this in your request. Our outreach coordinator will reach out with pricing details and to request additional information.
- Receive a tour of the site.
- Tours are $5/person and last 45-minutes to 1-hour. We are happy to tailor the tour to your subject and/or dive deeper into a specific aspect of the park to support course content.
