The Heffner building is the perfect location for your next workshop, meeting, or employee retreat!

Our classroom fits 65 guests and is perfect for presentation-style workshops, short courses, or large meetings. If you prefer a more intimate setting, our collection room fits 20 comfortably and has a fantastic view of our prairie and storm water wetland. Three sides of the room are covered in floor-to-ceiling windows, providing natural lighting and ample opportunity for a glimpse of wildlife.

Room Details

Classroom (Heffner building room 108, max capacity = 65)

• • Podium with AV equipment (e.g., computer, projector, screens, cameras for seamless virtual participation and/or recording your meeting or session)
  • Seating: Tablet desks

Bill Mitsch Wetland Collection Room (Heffner building room 101, max capacity = 25)

• • Gorgeous view of our stormwater wetland and Lowrie shortgrass prairie
  • Podium with AV equipment (e.g., HDMI connection for PC only, projector, full audio/visual for virtual meetings and recordings)
  • Large meeting table with rolling chairs
  • Sink and long cabinet
  • Close proximity to kitchenette with fridge, coffee maker, and sink

The Heffner Wetland Research and Education building is equipped with restrooms, a small lobby with couch and chairs, and a kitchenette. Please contact staff or reference the ORWRP Room Reservation Policy form for additional information regarding on-site amenities.

We strive to offer high-quality support for research, instructional, and outreach activities. To meet this goal, we ask that you submit a Reservation Request 30 days in advance. Once you submit a request, an ORWRP staff member will be in touch to confirm your booking and/or suggest an alternative date if the requested room is unavailable. Requests are approved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prior to the scheduled event, the Room Reservation Policy must be signed and returned to ORWRP staff. We will have a copy on-hand for you to sign upon arrival.
