For Faculty and Staff

Students in Stream Ecology seine the small tributary creek near Dodridge Rd for fishes with the aim to evaluate fish diversity.

If you are an Ohio State University faculty interested in holding a semester-long course in the classroom at the Heffner Wetland Research and Education building, please reach out to us to explore options. The classroom is typically reserved for SENR courses with a heavy field lab component with courses utilizing the surrounding forest, wetlands, and Olentangy River for lab sessions. We are, however, always looking to expand student opportunities and accommodate additional courses. We are always happy to discuss potential options.

If you are interested in holding a single-session course (i.e., one lecture or lab period) at the ORWRP, please navigate to our University Field Trip Requests page.

If you are interested in conducting research at the ORWRP, please navigate to our Facilities page. Here you’ll find a list of available facilities, relevant pricing, a research request form, and instructions on how to submit a request.

If you are a faculty member or instructor whose course is registered at the Heffner building, download the ORWRP_Teaching_Activities_Request_Form and submit it to Shelby Myers, myers.1941@osu.edu, no later than the first week of courses.
