The 4-H Committee will meet in the Extension Office Meeting Room from 6-7:30 p.m.

Junior Fair Market Steer Weigh In – December 9, 5-7 p.m.

All market steers to be exhibited at the 2020 Muskingum County Fair must come to steer registration day to be tagged and weighed, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please refer to the 2020 Market Steer Weigh-In Information Letter and Registration Form for complete details.

Older Youth Opportunities Interviews – December 11, by appointment

Youth who submitted a Muskingum County 4-H Achievement Form and indicated interest in one of the following opportunities should contact the Extension Office to schedule an interview: County 4-H Ambassador, State 4-H Leadership Camp, Sea Camp,Citizenship Washington Focus and Leadership Washington Focus.

4-H CARTEENS Program – December 12

4-H CARTEENS takes place at the Muskingum County Juvenile Court. Youth interested in becoming 4-H CARTEENS volunteer presenters should contact the Extension Office for details.

Junior Leaders Meeting – December 19

Meeting details will be sent via e-mail to youth who filled out a 2019 Junior Leaders enrollment form. Contact the Extension Office with questions.

4-H Camp Team Workshop – December 27

Camp Counselors and adult volunteers will participate in a day-long workshop to begin plans for 2020 4-H Junior Camp.

We did it! 4-H Camp Ohio Surpasses Buckeye Funder Campaign Goal

We are thrilled to report that the Buckeye Funder Campaign for 4-H Camp Ohio’s bathroom remodel project surpassed our goal and raised $31,208! Muskingum County contributed $4,260 towards the project! Demolition started last week and we are looking forward to newly remodeled restrooms for the 2020 camping season.

4-H Committee Applications Due – November 15, 4:30 p.m.

Any current 4-H volunteers interested in applying to become a member of the Muskingum County 4-H Committee should submit a completed application to the Extension Office by November 15 at 4:30 p.m. Selected volunteers serve a three year term. 

The 4-H Committee serves as an advisory committee for the 4-H program and assists with county-wide 4-H programs like the 4-H Kick-Off and Volunteer Recognition Banquet. Applications are available on our website and at the Extension Office.
