Initial Design by Alex Uhrich
Key Features:
- Aerodynamic hood to cover the front of the Arduino
- Shaped like a bullet train front for increased efficiency and speeds.
- Covers the battery.
- T-shaped body.
- Allows for more even distribution of mass.
- Propellers and motors run from center of mass, offering more balance and even thrust.
- L-shaped arm.
- Allows for Arduino to be placed underneath the extended part of the arm, saving space.
- Propellers and motor are undermounted.
- Allows for more above-platform room for the Arduino and battery.
- Estimated weight: 3.5 – 4.0 lbs
Pros: The design is more stable than the sample as the motors are brought to the center as well as the arm
Cons: This design is less aerodynamic than the sample as it has two “wings” sticking out of the center
