In Lab Week 5, Group O started the advanced research and development stage of developing the AEV. The first test done was Energy Analysis. In which, the team tested whether the wheel counter system was accurate and calculated propeller force and friction force from the AEV data (“Advanced Research and Development and Performance Tests,” 2017). An error that arose during the lab was the AEV going too far. This was resolved by coding that the AEV go for less time so it wouldn’t fly off of the track. The team found the lab manual instructions to be sufficient for this lab and only suggests that maybe more test should be done so a better sample can be collected.
