Our group’s first prototype was the one put together for the reflective sensor test. This prototype often sat uneven on the tracks, as the weight was not distributed evenly. The vehicle itself should be made with the least amount of materials as possible to keep it lightweight. After this baseline AEV is made it is then much easier to add to it and improve it as we go along. Our final prototype should be the one that is most effective, is most balanced, has the best center of gravity, is durable, and has a relatively cheap final cost. With these factors in mind we know that our AEV will be greatly improved from the first prototype made in class. Since the first prototype did not manage to stay on the track, we will be able to measure the improvement of our last prototype with the efficiency is has of making it down the track.
