Just a quick post to mark the occasion.
‘An Ambush of Tiger Beetles‘, our tiger beetle data transcription expeditions in Notes from Nature, are now completed. A total of 5,435 specimen records have been transcribed. Thanks to all who contributed to the project, but in particular to the collection’s staff and undergraduate assistants who spent many hours taking photos of the specimens AND to Notes from Nature volunteers who dedicated their time and skills to carefully transcribe the specimen labels. Thanks to Michael Denslow for working with us on the design and implementation of the project. Thanks to the National Science Foundation for the funding (Award # 2035537).
