USDA Farm Service Agency Youth Loans Available to 4-H Members

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) makes operating loans of up to $5,000 to eligible individual youths ages 10 to 20 to finance income-producing, agriculture-related projects. The project must be of modest size, educational, and initiated, developed, and carried out by youths participating in 4-H clubs, FFA, tribal youth organizations, or similar agricultural-affiliated groups.

Junior Fair Livestock Sale Committee Scholarship Applications – Due January 31

Muskingum County Junior Fair Large Animal Sale Committee Scholarship

Due January 31, 2022

Eligible applicants will receive up to $500, based on available scholarship dollars and the number of applicants.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to 4-H/FFA members who graduated high school in 2021 and exhibited a market goat, hog, lamb or steer at the 2021 Muskingum County Junior Fair.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in Fall 2021. Fall 2021 grades must be submitted with the application.
  • Applicants must have earned at least a 2.50 grade point average.

Muskingum County Junior Fair Small Animal Sale Committee Scholarship

Due January 31, 2022

One applicant will be selected from each species (poultry and rabbits) to receive a $250 scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to 4-H/FFA members who graduated high school in 2021 and exhibited a market poultry or rabbit project at the 2021 Muskingum County Junior Fair.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in Fall 2021. Fall 2021 grades must be submitted with the application.
  • Applicants must have earned at least a 2.50 grade point average.

4-H Camp Ohio is Hiring for 2022!

Warm, out-going, authentic, passionate and inspiring? Raise your hand if that’s you! 4-H Camp Ohio is HIRING PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS for their seasonal positions (March-November). If you have a passion for youth development and the outdoors, we want you.

Some of the prerequisites include:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School graduate, additional education preferred.
  • Experience and interest in program development and education.
  • Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.
  • CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and AED training to be completed by the first day of employment.
  • Lifeguard certification is highly preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
  • Must love camp!!!
