The final AEV design from Group H is focused on safety and energy efficiency. It is able to complete an entire run in 51.3 seconds while only using 146 Joules of energy. It utilizes a 3D printed part in order to reduce the overall weight and decrease the amount of materials needed to produce it. This 3D printed part also increases safety, as it is extremely balanced. The design has motors configured on opposite sides and only runs one motor at a time. This was done to make the design more aerodynamic and reduce the need to reverse the motors, which consumes more energy. The overall cost of the AEV is $522,660, which factors in the design materials, time, and energy used.
