The reflectance sensors are important since they measure how far the AEV has traveled. The arduino commands goToAbsolutePosition() and goToRelativePosition() rely on the reflectance sensors working and reporting the number of marks that the wheels have turned [3]. This is essential to make sure the AEV stops when it is supposed to and goes to the right position on the track.
