Goodness Gracious 4-H Families!

We have FINALLY survived June! WOW – it has been a wonderful, busy, but FANTASTIC month! I have so many updates to share between Cloverbud Camp, Royalty Awards & 4-H Camp. BUT I want to make sure our first update of the month dealt with our big programs in the beginning of July!

• July 1 – All Jr Fair Horse Show PAS Information MUST be uploaded to 4-HOnline NO LATER than 1pm!
• ALL Skillathon Kits are DUE to the office NO LATER than the end of the day on July 3!
• July 4 – The Office will be CLOSED! Happy 4th of July!
• July 5 – Jr Fair Board Meeting (@HCFG)
• July 6 – Camp Palmer Regional Cloverbud Camp
• July 10 – Livestock Skillathons: Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Goat (@Henry Co. Fairgrounds)
• July 11 – Livestock Skillathons: Swine, Poultry, Dairy, Beef (@Henry Co. Fairgrounds)
• July 12 – Food, Nutrition & Clothing Judging (@Napoleon American Legion)
• July 13 – Special Interest Judging (@Napoleon American Legion)

If you are unable to make it to Judging, we do have options for you!

Alternate Livestock Skillathon 

Complete the link to set up your Alternate Livestock Skillathon arrangements: https://go.osu.edu/henryaltlivestockjudging

Options Available:

• Online Test – Complete your Skillathon by taking a test
  • You will be asked to drop your books off at the extension office for us to review.
• Schedule an appointment to take your test live.

Still-Project Judging

FlipGrid will be used for any non-Livestock Projects. Exhibitors that do not attend live judging will not be eligible to participate at the Ohio State Fair. Be sure to review the instructions below & reach out to us should you have any questions.

Thanks to the Jeffers Greenhouse for partnering with the Henry County 4-H Advisory Council for their May Flower Fundraiser! A portion of all hanging basket purchases from that day came to the Henry County Advirosy Council!

Livestock Skillathons & Project Judging is RIGHT around the corner! We are seeking HELP to make our Skillathons go smoothly & efficiently!

If you can volunteer a few hours of your tim, we would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! We give you the answers to EVERYTHING to make this a pleasant expereince for everyone!

Parents, advisors & alumni are welcome! We’ll even feed you lunch!!!

  • 8-11a – Beef Feeder & Dairy Beef Feeder ID & Weigh-In
  • 9-11:30a – Goat & Sheep Weigh-In
  • 9-11a – Rabbit ID – Specifically for Rabbits that HAVE NOT been tattooed before!
    • This includes: Breeding, Doe [of Doe & Litters], & Single Roaster  Rabbits

June 5
