Observe September 1st Deadlines

Welcome back 4-H families!

I’m glad we all survived a successful Henry County Fair! As always, there’s room for improvement – but I’m excited to begin planning for the 2023 fair season!

PLEASE take note of documents due on SEPTEMBER 1st!

Check out the News & Notes “Forms & Resources” page for access to those documents! These include: 2022-2023 Jr Fair Board Application, Honor Member form, and Silver Spur Award form.

All Club Officer Books are DUE to the Extension Office NO LATER than September 1st – the office closes at 4:30pm!

Moving in on Wednesday…

We are officially less than ONE WEEK AWAY from the first day of the Henry County Fair!

There is plenty of information available to our families, so be sure to take time to review this info.

Here are a few things to review…

The OSU Extension office will be on limited hours during the week of fair as our staff will be at the Henry County Fair the majority of the time, please make your family is aware.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out via email (parcher.6@osu.edu) with any questions in the meantime as we will be in and out of the office in preparation for the 2022 Henry County Fair!

MOVE IN DAY…..

Wednesday August 10th~

9:00a-7:00pm Junior Fair Livestock Arrival at the Fairgrounds

  • Large Animal Scales will be open from 9a-11a – then 3p-7p
  • Small Animal Scales will be open from 12noon-7:00pm

Please keep in mind ALL Market lambs, Market Goats, ALL Market Poultry, Market Rabbits, Market Beef, Beef Feeders & Dairy Beef Feeders will be weighed as they are unloaded or during scale hours. 

DUNF Forms should be completed PRIOR TO COMING ACROSS THE SCALES for all MARKET beef, sheep, swine, goats, poultry, rabbits, lactating dairy cows and lactating dairy goats!

 

Once unloaded & checked in, we encourage everyone to make your way to the AgHall at 6:30pm to watch our Junior Fair King & Queen Coronation and the Introduction of Royalty! Don’t forget to get your tickets to the Senior Fair Board Chicken BBQ before heading to coronation, ticket information is listed HERE.

 

Please remember at 8:00pm VETERINARY INSPECTIONS will begin! A member or representative MUST be present AT your animal until the vet has completed the inspection!
