The AEV created by Team K is an extraordinary piece of equipment, tested and ready to be used by transportation companies anywhere. It was handcrafted and designed inside Solidworks 2016 and allows for modifications to the main engines to give it a sleek look. The safety department is proud to report no accidents during testing and was able to conclude that the design created by Team K is a safe and reasonable device to be used for transportation. But really though, why this design?
Cost!
The average cost for other designs was around ~$158,650. Our design was able to achieve a low price of $150,400. This saves money to be put into other places that can treat the passengers to a better experience.
Code Efficiency!
Often when buying these types of devices, they come with a complicated code that would require a specialist to come in and look at the machine and fix it all up for you. With our type of code system, it is very easy for anyone to learn to code for the AEV! It becomes easy enough to be able to say motorSpeed(4,10); goFor(3); which means both motors (4) will go at 10% speed, for 3 seconds. See! Easy enough!
Energy Usage!
While the AEV was a bit higher than an average amount of other AEV’s, there is a lot of room for improvement in the capabilities of this! During our testing, there was a lot of code that was moving faster than truly needed, meaning that the efficiency of the energy is possible to lower even further!
Time!
Time is money, as the classic saying goes, and this AEV is put to the test of time! Our average time was around ~47 seconds, which allows a lot of room for improving the speed, or the ability to slow it down to help with energy usage. This allows the money that it costs to run the AEV to move down the track to lower since it is taking less time!
