Crop Programs For Your Farm

Friday, Dec. 5, 1:30-3:30pm @MetroParks Farm, Canfield

Thursday, Dec. 11, 7-9pm @Old South Range, Greenford

Jan 21, 1-3pm @OSU Extension, Lisbon

The 2014 Farm Bill created program choices requiring land owners and producers to make several important decisions regarding their farms.

• The new legislation provides an opportunity to update program yields (formerly called base yields) and to reallocate program acres (base acres) to better reflect recent planting histories.

• Additionally, farmers can elect ARC-Individual, ARC-County, or PLC for their farm.

• These meetings will explain the basics of the program choices and introduce terminology used in the programs.

• All meetings are identical and held at a location convenient for you to attend. Jill Ritchie from FSA will provide details on signing up and FSA rules.
