Join us for this FREE business class series geared to help those starting food and farm based businesses in the city of Youngstown reach their goals. The classes are FREE, but participants should RSVP to each class. Students may participate in one class or all of them. All sessions will be taught by Eric Barrett, OSU Extension Educator, and Liberty Merrill, YNDC Land Reuse Director. November 10: Pricing and Profits—Pricing your products fairly and making a profit can be very challenging, no matter what you are selling. Learn how to balance your busi-ness expenses with charging a fair price to your customers.
November 17: Cash Flow and Finances—Learn how to track your small business ex-penses and plan for success. Spreadsheets and exercises will be presented to help new entrepreneurs build a cash flow projection and calculate profits and losses.
November 24: Grants and Low-Interest Loans—Learn creative ways to finance your business and why it is important to get your personal finances in order before starting a business.
December 1: Marketing Avenues—Learn about maps, applications, and free sources for marketing your new business on a budget.
