One component of this initiative, the LiFEsports Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), is a college and career readiness program which serves about 60 diverse, urban, high school Columbus youth each year. YLA goals are to assist youth in accessing and preparing for higher education. For the second year in a row, YLA juniors and seniors will be paired with college students or professionals to engage in college readiness activities (submitting applications, writing college essays, etc.).
