Kelly Fager – CFAES Outstanding Senior

Kelly Fager, of Wauseon, Ohio was selected as one of 20 nominees to win the Outstanding Seniors Award from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University. Also known as Top 20 Seniors, this award recognizes students for both academic achievement and outstanding service through leadership within student organizations.

Kelly Fager (Oustanding Senior)

Kelly, the daughter of Sue Ann Fager and and the late Paul Fager, is a graduating senior in Agricultural Communication. Kelly was a member of the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, President of Collegiate Young Farmers, CFAES Banquet Steering Committee and an active participant in the Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals.

Following graduation, she will be starting a career as a Grain Merchandiser Trainee at Consolidated Grain and Barge. The Outstanding Seniors Award was presented at the 2015 CFAES Recognition Banquet on April 16, 2015.

Erin (left) and Krysti (right) are both roommates and friends, therefore they share the last day of the countdown. Erin will graduate tomorrow with a degree in agricultural communication and Kristi with a degree in community leadership.

Get your Ohio State Day wristband at the front gate OR Celebration Plaza – be sure to bring your Ohio State Day park ticket. Wristbands are available at either location until 7 p.m. Stop by at your convenience. (For attendees who registered by April 19.)

Ohio State student tickets are available via D-Tix at the Ohio Union. A valid BuckID is required.

Tickets will not be available at park entrance.

Graduation Countdown – 4 days!

IMG_3453[1]In 4 days, Blake and 11,000 other students from Ohio State will receive their degrees from Ohio State. 50 of those graduates will be from our department.

Blake will receive her degree in agricultural communication and continue working with the Department of Recreation at Ohio State until her move to Atlanta, Georgia in November.

ACEL Alumni Society to host graduation breakfast
The Alumni Board for the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership will host a breakfast on Sunday, May 10 from 8-10am in the Animal Science Arena. Graduating students and their families are invited to attend for fellowship prior to the start of the 12noon ceremony. Graduates can RSVP the number of guests to Emily at wickham.24@osu.edu.
