2024 Skillathon Award Winners
Congratulations to all youth who achieved a Superior Rating (90+) at Livestock Skillathon! Youth will be recognized during their species Showmanship event. Horse members will be recognized Tuesday or Wednesday at the show.
Age division winners will be recognized after Superior Ratings, followed by the announcement of the overall species winner.
One youth per species was chosen for an Outstanding Record Book Award.

Help with Rabbit Barn Set up – July 27, 9 a.m.
The Junior Fair Rabbit Committee is seeking assistance from youth, parents and volunteers to set up the rabbit barn on Saturday, July 27, starting at 9 a.m. Tasks will include cleaning, setting up pens, etc. Many hands make light work!
2024 Levi Tysinger Adult Stockman Award
Will be awarded to one adult leader from Muskingum County. The Muskingum County Youth Swine Committee will be accepting nominations from youth actively showing swine at the Muskingum County Fair for adults, mentors and leaders who have helped support your hog showing goals. Please send a short one paragraph explanation stating how your nominee helped support your ability to show hogs at the Muskingum County Fair. Emailed responses can be sent to mcysc22@gmail.com no later than Tuesday August 13, 2024 at 5:00 pm.
2024 Levi Tysinger Stockman Award
Will be awarded to one last year swine showman from Muskingum County. The Muskingum County Youth Swine Committee is accepting one paragraph nominations from other youth, advisors, leaders, employers, teachers etc. for those showmen you believe exhibit outstanding personal characteristics. Levi Tysinger was an extraordinary young man who was smart, helpful, thoughtful, fun-loving and hardworking with a great sense of humor. Please let us know how your nominee exhibits exceptional qualities and Lives Like Levi!

Junior Leaders to Host Farm Chore Olympics – August 12, 11 a.m. – Register by August 2nd
2. All portions of the event require team participation.
3. Teams should report to the Horse Area 15 minutes prior to the event start time.
4. Teams are encouraged to wear the same color shirt during the event.
5. Registration is limited to the first 20 teams that register. Online Registration Form
6. A $20 registration fee is required per team. Payment can be sent to:

Cash or checks are accepted. Payment must mailed by the registration deadline.
Include the team name and ‘Farm Chore Olympics’ with the payment.
7. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Teams exhibiting inappropriate behaviors at the event will be dismissed as a team by an event representative.

Last Year 4-H Member Recognition Opportunity – Complete Survey by August 1!
Junior Leaders Advisor Samantha Ramsey is planning to create a special recognition display in the Junior Fair Building for last year 4-H members (18 4-H Age).
Last year members are invited to complete a survey by August 1 at 11:59 p.m. to be included in the recognition! Survey link: go.osu.edu/4hlastyear
Youth can also submit their own poster for display if they like. Details below.
Optional Poster Submission
- Create a poster to be displayed at the fair to show your time in the 4-H program. Ideas may include pictures, drawings, words, etc. Let your creative side shine!
- Poster size: 22”x28”, preferably no tri-folds.
- Submissions must be submitted to the Junior Fair Building during booth set up – Thursday, August 8, 3-8 p.m. or Saturday, August 10, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
