Are you a local business owner? Do you hire and/or supervise employees in your job? We need your feedback!

Last fall, OSU Extension completed a state-wide needs assessment to help us better understand how we can serve Ohioans. Selected local clientele who support our programming in 4-H, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Family and Consumer Sciences responded to an e-mail survey to provide us with information specific to Muskingum County.

Of the six impact areas that are the focus of OSU Extension’s work, Workforce Development was rated as the highest priority for Muskingum County. Within this Impact Area, we are discussing issues such as Workplace Preparedness for Youth, Communication Skills and Leadership Skills Development. As a 4-H Educator, I am excited about the role our 4-H program can play in developing valuable workplace skills in our youth!

Throughout 2019, members of our staff will be asking different groups to answer a question directed at issues related to workforce development. Specifically, I will seek feedback from adults and youth connected with the 4-H program. Our goal with this process is to actively serve the people of Muskingum County by identifying and developing programs, products and services that address the need for workforce development in our community.

Here’s how you can help…
