Friend of 4-H and Montgomery Leadership Award Nominations Due – September 1
The 4-H Committee is now accepting nominations for the Muskingum County Friend of 4-H Award, which recognizes an individual, family, business or organization who has provided exceptional support to the county 4-H program.
It’s also time for outstanding 4-H volunteers to be nominated to receive the John & Dorothy Montgomery Leadership Award.
Nomination forms for both awards are available at the Extension Office or on our website under 4-H Youth Development>Volunteer Resources. Completed nominations are due to the Extension Office by September 1. Because the deadline falls on Saturday, we will accept the next business day – Tuesday, September 4.
Both awards will be presented at the Volunteer Recognition Banquet on September 26.

Junior Fair Livestock Committee Applications Due – September 15
Applications are now available for the Junior Fair Livestock Committee. Members are elected by the committee to serve a three year term in one of the following areas: beef, dairy, sheep or swine. Members must be approved 4-H volunteers – if not currently a 4-H volunteer, the applicant must be willing and able to complete the 4-H Volunteer process to become an approved volunteer by March 15, 2019.

4-H Volunteer Recognition Banquet – September 26
All 2019 4-H Volunteers should have received an e-mail invitation to the 4-H Volunteer Recognition Banquet. Details can also be found in the Summer 2018 Newsletter. Deadline to RSVP is September 10.
