Here’s a big ol’ check in of things to check out as we get ready to dive into our 2026 4-H Season! Buckle Up! This is a big one!

    • New Date: Sunday February 22, 2026
    • New Location: Henry County Event Center
    • Invitations to go out next week!
  • Toledo Walleye Hockey Game
    • From Toledo Walleye: We are now 2 months away from the first ever 4-H Night with the Toledo Walleye! We have less than 300 group tickets left for the game on Sunday, March 22nd. If your club would be interested in reserving tickets together, please feel free to email me or you can call or text me at 419-725-9285. Tickets for all club members and their families are just $17 per person at the discounted rate that day. If that date does not work out for you and your club, we will also be having 4-H Night with the Toledo Mud Hens on Sunday, May 31st that we can also start reserving ticket for your club now! Tickets for all club members and their families are just $11 per person at the discounted rate that day.

Henry Co. Beef Department Updates

  • NEW in 2026: ALL Beef Animals – Breeding, Market and Feeders will be REQUIRED to have an 840 RFID tag.
  • The Senior Fair Board will not be hosting a Steer Weigh-In at the Fairgrounds in 2026.
    • In place of this Weigh-In ALL MARKET STEERS MUST BE REGISTERED using the Online Link.
      • If there is a possibility of the animal coming to the Henry County Fair – you MUST register the animal.
      • All steers MUST have and 840 RFID tag in their ear as photo proof will be required.
    • Registration Link: go.osu.edu/2026henrysteers
      • Deadline to upload Steers is January 10, 2026.
      • If you need to pick up an 840 RFID tag for your animal, please reach out to the Extension Office to make those arrangements.
  • Ohio State Fair Market Steer DNA Test Kits – are available for pick up at the Extension Office. Please reach out to let us know when you plan to pick up that kit.
    • Kits are due to the OSF Office by January 10.
