Henry County 4-H Fundraiser

The Henry County 4-H Advisory Council is helping to raise funds for 4-H Programming.

We have partnered with Avina Specialties to host an online store of 4-H Swag.

Sizes range from Youth Medium – 4X – Colors range from Green, Gray and Black.

$3.00 from each unit sold comes back to our program.

You can order through the online store or hard copy form – payment can be received by Venmo or dropping off cash or check at the office.

Cake Decorating Members

This is a great opportunity to gain expereince

Facebook Page (Click Here)~ 4-H families- it’s that time of year where everyone is selecting or getting their project books! For those of you who decide to take cake decorating, this is for you! One day class, we will decorate a cake and fill out the majority of your book! This is for 1st YEAR CAKE DECORATING. The course can be taken 3 different levels. This class we will go over all beginner level requirements and skills. Class will be offered May 11 and June 1 in Findlay. As of now class would be from 10-4:30 with lunch included but may change by an hour at this time. 4Hers from any county in Ohio can attend.

If there’s interest for intermediate or 2nd year 4Hers taking the course I may offer a course for you as well.

There are a few things for you to take notice of. As you round out your year with our Henry County 4-H program – you have some unique opportunities to take advantage of…

  • 4-H Honor Cords – Seniors must apply to receive the cords – must have completed club work all 4 years of High School with a total of 8 years of 4-H membership – DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 1
  • Senior & Last Year Member Biography Form – Please submit this biography to be highlighted in our Henry County 4-H Booth. a Digital picture of you is preferred. – DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS MAY 1
  • THE MOST EXCITING NEWS YET!
    • The 4-H Advisory Council has made the decision for each one of our 4-H Seniors to be recognized on a banner this year at the Henry County Fair! With our fair this year looking different than it has in years past, we wanted to be sure to recognize our 44(!) senior members! As schools usually have Senior Athletic Banners – we’ll be having those for our Livestock AND still-project members! More information to come, but we’re so excited to have the 4-H Advisory Council to support our seniors this year!

Livestock Round-Up

  • Saturday May 11, 2024 – 11:00am – Henry County Fairgrounds (Napoleon, OH)

  • Join us for our annual Livestock Round-Up! Participants will learn about showmanship (all species), livestock selection and judging (large animal livestock), and have the opportunity for the state-required Quality Assurance training. Don’t forget to stay for lunch!
