Program Wrap-up

Greetings 4-H Families!

I’m confident everyone has recovered from Fair & has jumped in to Back to School Mode!

Here’s a quick rundown of important information for your family to review…

1) Officer Books are due to the Extension Office NO LATER than September 1. If you are an advisor collecting books, please have your club’s books turned in by September 1 as well. Need a reminder of the grading rubric? They can be found here: https://u.osu.edu/henry4h/files/2022/08/Officer-Book-Scoring.pdf

2) For any teen interested in the Henry County Junior Fair Board – those applications are also due on September 1. Here is the link to complete that application: https://go.osu.edu/jfbapplication. Interviews for new members will be held mid-September. Applicants will be contacted by email to set up Interview Times.

3) Honor Member Application – Open to all who apply! Deadline is also September 1. Application can be found here: https://u.osu.edu/henry4h/files/2023/02/2021honormemberform.pdf

4) End of the Year Program Recognition – “You Donut Want to Miss Out!” – We encourage ALL members & families to attend! This is a great last “hoo-rah” to meet with 4-H families and take our “winter break.” This year’s program will take place on Sunday September 10 at 2:00pm at the Henry County Ag-Hall. The invitation can be found HERE. Please RSVP if you plan to attend at: https://go.osu.edu/henryprogramrecognition

5) We are working on getting Livestock Sale Information sent out to families ASAP, please be patient. For those of you that don’t know – we used a new software program for the Sale this year, so we are working to generate the appropriate reports for our families.

6) If your Teen is interested in upcoming Teen Opportunities, be sure to subscribe to our Blog. Each Friday, you’ll recieve updates on applications, meeting times & more. Programs & clubs such as Junior Leadership Club & Camp Counselor Applications will be found here. Blog site: https://u.osu.edu/henry4h/resources/teen-opportunities/

I am currently on leave & taking some time away from the office to spend at home with my family. I will return back to the office full time after labor day. If you have any questions, or need help, I recommend reaching out to Emily Cordes, 4-H Office Associate, by phone (419-592-0806) or email: cordes.26@osu.edu. I am checking my emails occasionally, but if you’d like a speedy response, please contact Emily.

Thank you all for your patience, support, and a job well-done this year!

Sincerely,

Morgan Parcher
