4-H PROJECT ADJUSTMENTS:
It is officially a wrap for our Project adjustments for 2022! Emily & I would both like to thank you all for your cooperation & patience in getting these adjustments to us! If there are any other last-minute adjustments – call the office at 419-592-0806 ASAP!
IMPORTANT FOR POULTRY EXHIBITORS:
All Poultry Projects should stay informed on the HPAI – Avian Influenza status as the first positive test was found in a non-poultry backyard flock in Franklin County, Ohio this week. At this time the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio State Fair are heavily encouraging the practice of appropriate biosecurity protocols. We will do our best to keep everyone updated on the status of this situation as more information becomes available. Henry County Jr. Leadership Club Fundraiser (Flyer Here)
Saturday April 9th we will be holding a Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Henry County Fairgrounds from 1:00-3:00pm – We do ask for a $5.00 donation per family. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in! There will also be silent auction items donated prior to the event! Prizes will be offered for each group of participants!
What’s next for us?…
- Be sure if you haven’t touched base with a club advisor – make that call ASAP! All of our clubs are meeting and if you haven’t attended a meeting yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get to a meeting.
- Get your project book orders in ASAP! Many of our clubs have placed their book orders, but make sure you communicate with your advisor if you have any questions!
- If you’d like to print off your own Livestock Inserts (instead of ordering them from the office), they are posted to the county site. Or follow these links: MARKET INSERT… BREEDING INSERT
- If you already have your project book or ask you parent to look at your project book WITH YOU… OPEN IT! Make a plan for the next few months so you’re not waiting until the last minute to complete items before judging!
- LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS – MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR: June 4th =
- Cattle = Feeder Calf ID & Weigh In from 8:00a-11:00a at the Livestock Scales
- Goat/Sheep= Tagging at the East side of the Grandstand from 9:00a-11:30a
- Rabbits= Breeding Rabbits [of Doe & litter exhibits] and Single Roaster IDs in the Small Animal barn from 9:00a-10:30am
