Parsley Family Identification Guide
Weeds come in may different shapes and sizes and can sometimes be hard to identify. Mark Loux and Alyssa Essman have written the article below to help readers identify weeds in the parsley family that are common to Ohio. This article goes into detail about 5 different plants that are apart of the parsley family. These plants include: Wild carrot, Poison hemlock, Wild parsnip, Cow parsnip and Giant hogweed. 2022 Brown County Junior Fairboard Applications Available
For NEW Members
Junior Fairboard members must be 14 as of January 1st, 2022, and a member in good standing with their respective Junior Fair organization. Members can be no older than 18 as of January 1st. Junior Fairboard members help make decisions for the junior fair and assist in implementing fair events.
If you are a new member interested in joining the board, applications are due by December 1st at 4:30 pm and are an online application. To apply go to http://go.osu.edu/brownnewjfb. Please read all of the information carefully before you submit your application. Included in the application is the overview of the board and the expectations of members. Interviews will be held on Dec. 7th and orientation will be held Jan. 4th. If these dates should change applicants will receive an email at the email provided in the application.
For RETURNING Members
If you are a returning member of the board from 2021, you will need to complete the returning member application by November 15th. This was provided at the October meeting and sent out in the JFB Remind and Band. Contact Christy if you need the link to the returning member application. You must have been a member in 2021 to apply as a returning member.
