Early Field Experience (EFE) is an exploratory first field experience for students to “try out” Agriscience Education as a career choice. EFE is typically for students who are in their second year in the ASE major, or who have an interest in pursuing an ASE degree and teacher licensure. An EFE is required before students are eligible for more advanced field experiences in the Agriscience Education program. Students who are in the ASE program must complete an EFE before entering ‘junior-level’ courses. EFE is scheduled for autumn semester through ASE 2189 (1 credit hour). Students cannot enroll in the ASE 2189 course without applying for EFE, nor without instructor permission. Once an application is submitted and reviewed, Dr. Filson will contact you with further information and to verify your enrollment in the course.
