Exercise 1 was all about becoming familiar with the AEV, and with software/programming of it. First, the team learned about the different parts of the AEV and their purposes. Then the group became familiar with the “Basic Function Calls”, to be used in writing the code. Once these understandings were met, the AEV was assembled. Once this was complete, the group began reading about the Arduino software. Following this, a code was written for the device. No issues resulted at any point in the code. After confirming that this code was successful, it was uploaded using the new methods. Several questions were asked of the team to verify its understanding of the material. It’s completion concluded Exercise 1.
