Propellers

Team N decided to test two different configurations for the AEV to determine what would produce the most efficient final results. The team discussed with the company what needs to be changed on the AEV, and team N was given the job to test propellers and the base configuration. Three different propellers were tested, each being a different size or shape. First, large propeller blades were tested for power vs distance and power vs time. The second propellers that were tested were smaller, and the third propellers were a rectangular shape.

The data from the three different propeller blades were compared and the propeller shape that produced the most efficient results was the rectangular shaped blade. The rectangular shape produced the most distance compared to the other blades, being that it traveled about two meters. This blade was used for the rest of the tests.

On the longer, bent, rectangular propeller, the AEV went farther and faster than it did while testing other propellers. This helped to make a conclusion on which propeller worked best.
