Hi, my name is Brianna Thompson I am a first-year at Ohio State University. I am from Youngstown Ohio and went to the high school Youngstown Early College. I am interested in all aspects of the design program. It’s always been an interest to me. I want to learn more about design and I want to pursue it as a career. Playing sports has always been something that I did all year round. Sports have impacted my life academically, helped keep me on track to do my work, and helped me become successful in school. I grew up in a hardworking household with two parents who created a business together. I always wanted to follow in their footsteps and create my own successful business. I want to create my own business that would provide my services by going into people’s homes and renovating them or other businesses such as hospitals and hotels. My goal is to become a world-known designer and create a very successful business.

What design means to me…
What design means to me is creating something to benefit others. Design means creating what you think can help the person or community you’re creating for based on their needs or wants or just what you think could benefit them in the future.
Why design…
Design is something that I’ve always done throughout my life whether it’s making little clothing for my little barbie dolls or trying to make clothing for myself. I even tried making floor plans to help out my parents with the buildings they tried to build and even researched how to make them so I could become better. There was never a time and still isn’t a time when I’m not making something for my family or my design art/design made me who I am and that’s why I love and chose design.
