Over the course of the lab, the team has crafted an advanced energy vehicle based off of numerous designs and ideas. Following the stages of brainstorming, the group pursued numerous research topics in hope to perfect the efficiency of the vehicle. After drafting and testing a plethora of designs, the group determined that the following design meets the needs of the Smart City of Columbus and the citizens of Columbus.
Team R maintained a philosophy of limiting weight while keeping a simplistic design which would in theory lead to the most consistency in the AEV’s performance. Instead of adding surplus weight to the vehicle, the team created a design which minimized weight and increased speed. This allows for passengers to travel to their destination in a quick and safe manner.
