As one of the three divisions of P&C Scott Worldwide, Team M’s goal is to create an Advanced Energy Vehicle prototype, or AEV, that satisfies the requirements and constraints as specified by the Smart City Columbus Grant Staff. While safety will be the main priority, we also want to focus on priorities that surround the tasks at hand, such as:
- Stopping at the designated gate between the starting dock and the loading zone for a necessary amount of time to allow the gates to open.
- Successfully attaching to the loading zone using a magnetic hitch, then properly connecting the load to the AEV.
- Returning to the gate and pausing to once again allow the gate to re-open, all the while making sure that the load stays attached to the vehicle.
- Return to the loading dock (passed the starting line) in a timely fashion without losing any of the payload.
