For the motor configuration R&D we tested push vs pull. We took data from three trials with the push configuration and three trials with the pull configuration. The graphs below show the averaged data from these trials.
This data shows that the pull configuration is the most efficient. Both configurations used the same code, but there were significant differences in the data. The pull configuration went got to about 2.3 m/s while the push configuration got to about 1.3 m/s. Also, the pull configuration went 9.03 meters while the push configuration went 5.92 meters.
