Concept Screening:
This concept screening chart allowed Team M to eliminate Yu-Shiang’s design due to the fact that his stability and safety were both worse than the reference design. In addition, the chart helped the team realize that Maddi and TJ’s design should be moved forward in the testing process since their weight distribution were both better than the reference.
Concept Scoring:
Concept scoring allowed for the team to take an in depth look at what each design brought to the table. From this, we could see just how poor Yu-Shiang’s design was compared to Maddi and TJ’s. Matt’s design didn’t score as low as Yu-Shiang’s, but it didn’t score high enough to be considered for development.
