For Propeller Configuration tests, multiple placements of the propellers were tested and measured using the AEV data extraction tool. The effectiveness of a propeller design is based on the the time vs. energy and distance vs. energy graphs. All three tests were run with the current code.
Propeller Design 1
In this design, the original configuration of the AEV parts were kept, with the only exception being that the propellers were mounted on top of the base instead of underneath.

Propeller Design 2
In this design, the AEV parts were mounted on the cross-shaped base. The propellers were mounted underside on each of the arms of the base.

Propeller Configuration 2 Tests
The data showed that propeller configuration 2 was the most efficient, especially in terms of power consumption. Configuration 2 managed to reach higher speeds, as well as use less energy than both configuration 1 and the original. As a result, the team will continue to use configuration 2 for the basis of our future AEV designs.
