Topics Discussed: Performance Test 1 and R&D 2 – Power braking vs. coasting
Objective: Today’s main focus was actually figuring out the two codes for performance test 1, then we planned on doing our R&D 2 next class.
To do/Action items:
- Go over the methodology for the coasting vs. power braking R&D for next meeting (Yu-Shiang)
- Keep updating website with research (everyone)
- Put all of the code that we kept modifying for the performance test on the team website (TJ and Maddi)
Decisions:
- We decided on moving the AEV’s propellers further out on the side for the second performance test code. To our surprise this design was actually more power efficient.
- We also decided to complete the R&D 2 during the next two classes since we made the decision to spend this one on the performance test 1.
Reflections:
- The team realized that the modified AEV design that we made for the performance test 1 was actually better than our previous final design.
