Topics Discussed: More R&D 1 – Battery Testing

Objective: Today’s main focus was finishing our R&D 1 which was battery testing, and also thinking about the next R&D which will be reflectance sensors.

To do/Action items:

  • Organize the graphs that show the AEV battery’s power consumption over a certain distance and time. (Yu-Shiang)
  • Write a brief description of the function and importance of the AEV battery to the website. (Yu-Shiang and TJ)
  • Keep updating website with the new R&D1 information (Matt and Maddi)

Decisions:

  • The group decided to add more trials to the test since we had more time and the amount of trials that we had didn’t seem like enough to make a conclusion.
  • After looking over our next R&D, we couldn’t figure out what we would test as far as reflectance sensors go, so we decided to change our R&D 2 to investigating the AEV’s Power Braking vs. Coasting.

Reflections:

  • We were able to work as a team and complete R&D 2, and then we made a team decision regarding changing the next R&D
