Speaker for the evening will be Rose Hartschuh .
In March of 2017, deadly wildfires swept through the west. Farmers everywhere felt for the plights of the impacted ranchers and looked for ways to help. A large group from across the state of Ohio joined the efforts and helped to organize a hay and supply drive and traveled to Ashland, Kansas, to rebuild fence. Rose Hartschuh and her husband Greg were proud to play a role in Ohio’s efforts, and she will share perspectives and lessons learned from the initiative.
Rose Hartschuh was one of the project organizers. Rose is passionate about helping the public understand what farmers do every day. As a wife and mother, she sees firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with raising a family on the farm. She also understands that for her children to have the opportunity to continue the family business, the public must appreciate the important role farmers play in our society. The Knasas relief project was one way Rose stays involved in the ag industry. She is a former high school agriculture teacher, and in her spare time, she volunteers with a variety of organizations, including Farm Bureau, 4-H, FFA, and church.
