Songwriting Workshop w/ Eric Gnezda

Musician performing at a keyboard in the lobby of the James Cancer Hospital.

Do you play an instrument on the side? Write poetry? Songs?

Are you kidding? I’m in medical school, the last thing I have time for is to write a song!

Perfect. You’re just who we’re looking for!

But hey, I don’t even play an instrument, or have any talent!

Even better! That’s why song parodies were invented…So let’s kick around new lyrics to familiar songs!

Join Eric Gnezda, host of the PBS series, Songs at the Center, and his pal, Gene Castelli, former chairperson of the Columbus chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, for an engaging, interactive seminar on writing parodies! Bring your friends! And who knows, you might just end up performing it at this year’s Humanism & the Arts in Medicine talent show!
