In this episode, Dr. Elena Foulis, Dr. Guisela LaTorre, Assistant Provost for Diversity and Inclusion Yolanda Zepeda and Ms. Lourdes Barroso de Padilla discuss the #meToo and #timesup movement, with a special focus on Latina experiences. #MeToo took force in the Fall of 2017, but it was originally created by activist Tara Burke 10 years ago. This movement allowed a space for victims to voice their experiences with sexual violence. The #Timesup campaign denounces sexual assault, harassment and inequality in the workplace.
