The following two graphs were obtained of the data collected from the AEV for the group to be able to see how the AEV is performing in terms of the power used and how long it takes to travel down the track. This has to be kept in mind throughout the lab in order to make sure the amount of energy and time is reasonable for the final test to be under the cost of what each group was given.
The Power Vs Time Graph
Looking at the red test sample 1 line, one can see what is happening during the trial. At the start of the run, the AEV was accelerating so power was increasing for about the first two seconds. Then the AEV was moving at constant speed until it got close to the stop sign so power was constant. Next the motors reversed which caused the peak in the graph around six seconds. This forced the AEV to stop and the motors were braked which resulted in a straight line at zero because there was not any power being used.
