Final Performance Test

The Final Performance Test was built off of Performance Test 1 and Performance Test 2. Once completed with Performance Test 2, the next step was to travel backwards successfully to the stop sign while still attached to the additional cargo. The same rules applied that did during the start of the test. The AEV has to stop at the stop sign for seven seconds before proceeding past the gate. Lastly the AEV has to travel down the hill and back to the starting dock while stopping before hitting the end or going too hard and falling off the track. The AEV and the additional cart have to both stop between the last support beam and the second to last support beam without hitting the last one at the end.

While working on the final Performance Test, Group Q had a lot of problems occur that were not problems during earlier tests. The first problem that happened was the AEV was stopping at inconsistent spots when stopping at the stop sign which than messed up the spacing with the rest of the runs. To fix this, the group changed the battery thinking that the battery was dead/weak. Then they continuously ran the code and changing it slightly until the code was consistent. Group Q realized the lab classroom track had less variation with the AEV while the regular classroom was more inconsistent. Another problem that occurred during this part of testing was one of the propellers broke in half. Once the group got a new propeller, it kept falling off. To fix this problem, one of the group members would push in the propellers before every run to make sure they were on tight and would not fall off or break.
