Objective: We have to figure out and agree on which part we would like to ask a grant for.

To-do: Finish the team working agreement as well as the schedule. Make the powerpoint slide for the proposal grant.

Decisions: We agreed and revised the final team working agreement. We agreed on which part to make for our grant and made a sales pitch for the grant that we will give in next lab.

Reflections: We are on track to finish our AEV in time.

Upcoming Tasks: Website Update 3 as well as AR&D2 lab and finish up lab topics from last week.

Date: 14 February 2018

Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: See where we are after the committee meeting and what we need to do.

To-do: Committee meeting and grant proposal. Possibly aR&D

Decisions: No aR&D will be done because the committee meeting and grant proposal took the length of the period.

Reflections: The committee meeting went well, we were doing things right in all aspects of the project. We will work on our takeaways and try to improve upon some aspects.

Upcoming Tasks: Look at propeller configuration next to help design our AEV

Date: 21 February 2018
Time: 10:00AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Finish aR&D before the end of the period

To-do: See how different propeller configurations worked

Decisions: Some propeller designs worked well where others did not.

Reflections: The best design was the propeller configuration with 4 propellers. It is unique and effective.

Upcoming Tasks: Work on website update and oral presentation.

Date: 24 February 2018
Time: 1:45 PM
Location: Park Stradley
Members Present: All

Objective: Complete website update and oral presentation

To-do: Talk about what is next for our AEV

Decisions: We will work on codes for AEV, test it.

Reflections: The website is looking up to date, the oral presentation is almost finished and will be worked on through a shared document.

Upcoming Tasks: Get AEV to stop at gates on tracks.

Date: 7 March 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective:  Get the AEV to stop at the gates on track

To-do: Test two designs on same track with same code to see which one works better on track

Decisions: Pick between the two different designs which one to move forward with

Reflections:  Figured out the code needed to get AEV to the stop sign

Upcoming Tasks: Complete Performance Test 1

Date: 20 March 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Complete Performance Test 1

To-do: Make AEV stop at the gates consistently

Decisions: Even though using two different tracks in two different rooms, the code only needs to change one or two numbers

Reflections: Moving the battery to the middle of AEV instead of back gives it more balance.

Upcoming Tasks: Start on Performance Test 2

Date: 21 March 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective:  Start on Performance Test 2

To-do: Get AEV to travel through stop sign and pick up additional cargo cart

Decisions: Decide what code will make this process the most efficient

Reflections: Having battery in front and more balanced makes picking up cargo cart more consistent, CDR draft is almost finished and is worked on through a google doc

Upcoming Tasks: Complete Performance Test 2

Date: 22 March 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Finish Performance Test 2

To-do: Test two different codes on the same design to see which works on the track more consistently

Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Make AEV move backward being attached to cargo cart

To-do: Test and slightly change different things on the AEV to have it use the least amount of energy

Decisions: How does the code change with the energy used with carrying more weight back

Reflections: Being ahead of time, what can be done next looking forward

Upcoming Tasks: Finalize the final run of the AEV to make it stop back in the starting dock, still attached to cargo cart

Date: 28 March 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Finalize the final Performance Test to complete it all

To-do: Get AEV to go back through stop sign and stop in the starting dock with the additional AEV

Decisions: What code to use to make the AEV stop in starting dock without hitting the end support column

Reflections: What will be accomplished next since we are practically done with the testing

Upcoming Tasks: Keep testing AEV to make sure it still works, all the paperwork and presentation

Date: 3 April 2018
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Finalize the testing for AEV

To-do: Fix any last minute problems from the AEV on the track

Decisions: Optimize energy while staying within a reasonable time frame for the run

Reflections: Problems with the AEV on the track arose today so next lab the group has to figure out and fix the problems

Upcoming Tasks:

Date: 5, 10, 11 April 2018 (three dates)
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Hitchcock
Members Present: All

Objective: Get the final performance test completed

To-do:  Keep practicing the AEV runs until the entire run was perfected.

Decisions: Use the lab track as much as possible, the AEV tends to work better and more efficient on it.

Reflections: The classroom track proved to be more inefficient, Group Q believes it was an issue with the caboose that needed to be picked up. The best and final performance test was done on a lab track.

Upcoming Tasks: Complete the CDR and the Final Website and get ready for the showcase.
