Team B’s Design Process:
As the process to create the most efficient AEV design system our overall design has changed. To better fit user needs, such as cost, durability, weight, energy efficiency etc..
Features:
- Battery Holder
- Reflective Sensors
- AEV Controller (ArduinoNano micro controller)
- Propellers
Korey Wood’s Design:
Description: This design was inspired by the reference design and shares many of it’s attributes its differ from it in using the a different wheel holder and its placement on the AEV is centralized. This helps give the AEV more stability as it moves along the track.
Pros: Is more stable.
Cons:
Yonis Abdi’s Design:
Description: An AEV on a standard rectangular block with an L-shaped wheel holder and an arduino with the battery holder on the bottom and one motor and propeller.
Pros: has less weight, low energy consumption.
Cons: is less stable, more prone to accidents.
Brian Gainer’s Design:
Description: A standard AEV with trapezoid wings that are elevated.
Pros: more aerodynamic.
Cons: more parts required, small additional coast
